I know the Winter is important. It really has to happen for things to continue properly, and it has it's own beauty. But, towards the end of it I rejoiced when I herd the sound of geese flying over head. It told me it was getting warm enough for them to come home. Last week I was driving near Cabrini College and this one was sitting on the grass just waiting for me to pull out my camera and snap a picture. It was there again the next day, and the next. It won't be long now until we see the fluffy little ones. Life is beautiful!

One of my jobs every year is to take a blower and blow all the goose droppings off of this big yard in Hainesport, NJ. It's a great big house with lots of ground and a lake right next to it. The owner has an Easter egg hunt every year but he can't do it until he gets the goose droppings taken care of. It takes two guys with blowers all day to blow them off the lawn and into the street. I was back there twice in the last two weeks for some different work. The first time I didn't see any geese or droppings but the man assured me the geese were still around. The second time I went all the geese came walking slowly across the back yard and continued to do so all day. They had a flock of little goslings.

Yes, it doesn't seem to take long before the little ones show up, and they grow quickly even then. I didn't get any pictures of the gosslings yet this year, but I do have some from years past that I might post when I get a minute. Didn't get any pics of droppings either, lol.
